This Yoga Diplomat, author, and professor has a journey to wellness that began with a lupus diagnosis in 2009. Facing the challenge of being unable to walk or see, Alicia discovered yoga as a transformative practice, ultimately experiencing profound healing that changed her life.
Inspired by this personal transformation, she combined her studies of International Relations at Rice University with her ongoing advanced academic yoga studies to become an international Yoga Diplomat. Her mission is to spread "World Peace Through Inner Peace."
Currently the Academic Director over several yoga teacher programs, Alicia certifies yoga teachers according to international yoga industry standards. She is a distinguished Rice University Alumna, named to Rice University's Top 30 Under 30 list, and was honored with Congressional Recognition for her Diplomatic Yoga Innovation.
She is currently a yoga professor at a top 10 national university.
